The Knysna Oyster Festival is officially here, and the Knysna Waterfront is ready to welcome visitors for ten days of flavour, fun and festive atmosphere.

From 3–12 July 2026, South African residents can enter the Knysna Waterfront Oyster Festival Competition and stand a chance to win R5,000.00 in cash. Even better, if the winning receipt includes oysters, the prize becomes R10,000.00.

To enter, simply spend R150.00 or more at any Knysna Waterfront store or restaurant, write your name and contact number on the back of your receipt, and place it in the designated competition entry box.

There is no limit to the number of times you can enter, so every qualifying receipt gives you another chance to win. Whether you are enjoying a meal, browsing our shops or spending the day by the harbour, your Waterfront visit could become even more memorable.

Experience the festival from one of Knysna’s most loved destinations, with lagoon views, restaurants, retail stores and a vibrant atmosphere throughout the celebration.

Visit the Knysna Waterfront during the Oyster Festival, support local, enjoy the experience, and remember to enter before the competition closes on 12 July 2026.

1. Promoter
   This competition is promoted by The Waterfront Knysna Quays (“the Promoter”).
2. Competition Period
   The competition runs from the official opening date of the Knysna Oyster Festival 2026 until the official closing date of the Knysna Oyster Festival 2026. Entries received outside this period will not be considered.
3. Eligibility
   • The competition is open to South African residents only.
   • Entrants must be 18 years or older.
   • Directors, employees of The Waterfront Knysna Quays, participating tenants, their immediate families, advertising agencies, competition suppliers and anyone directly involved in the administration of the competition are not eligible to enter.
4. How to Enter
   • Spend R150.00 or more in a single transaction at any participating store or restaurant at The Waterfront Knysna Quays during the competition period.
   • Write your full name, contact number and signature clearly on the back of your original receipt.
   • Deposit the original receipt into the official competition entry box located at The Waterfront Knysna Quays.
5. Multiple Entries
   • Every qualifying receipt constitutes one entry.
   • There is no limit to the number of entries, provided each entry is supported by a separate qualifying receipt.
6. Prize
   One winner will receive:
   • R5,000.00 cash, or
   • R10,000.00 cash if the winning qualifying receipt includes the purchase of one or more oysters.
7. Qualifying Receipts
   • Only original receipts issued during the competition period will be accepted.
   • Receipts must clearly show the date, participating store and qualifying purchase value.
   • Altered, duplicated, damaged, illegible or fraudulent receipts will be disqualified.
   • The Promoter reserves the right to request proof of identity before awarding any prize.
8. Winner Selection
   • One winning receipt will be randomly drawn after the competition closes.
   • The draw will take place under the supervision of the Promoter.
   • The winner will be contacted using the contact details provided on the back of the receipt.
9. Prize Collection
   Should the winner not be contactable after reasonable attempts over seven (7) days, or fail to claim the prize within fourteen (14) days of notification, the Promoter reserves the right to conduct a redraw.
10. General
    • The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
    • The prize is not transferable and may not be exchanged.
    • By entering, participants consent to the Promoter using their name and photographs for promotional purposes should they win, unless the participant declines such use in writing.
    • The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the competition should circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this necessary.
    • Participation in this competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
11. POPIA
    Personal information collected will be used solely for administering this competition and contacting the winner. Information will not be sold or shared with third parties except where required by law.
